In the store: print a label

You only need the Dill app on a phone or tablet, and the printer. Your head office adds the items. You just tap and print.

Before you start

  • The Dill app from the App Store or Google Play.
  • Your login from your manager or head office.
  • The printer switched on, with labels in.
1

Connect the printer

Do this once. After that the app remembers your printer.

  1. Switch on the printer and Bluetooth

Turn the printer on and make sure Bluetooth is on on your phone or tablet.

  2. Pick your printer and tap Connect

The printer shows at the top of the app. Tap it to choose yours, then tap Connect.

3

Prep and use-by labels

For food you prep and store, like sauces and cut fruit.

  1. Put your initials on

Type your initials in Signed with initials (up to 5 letters) and tap Set.

  2. Check the dates

The prep time is now. The use-by is worked out for you from the item's shelf life, so you never type it. The box on the right shows the day.

  3. Print

    Tap Quick Print or Print.

4

Made-to-order labels

For orders where the customer picks extras.

  1. Open Add-ons and tick what's in the order

Tap Add-ons, tick each extra and tap OK. You only see the extras that go with that item.

  2. Tap Prepared, then print

The label shows the add-ons, the time it was made, and a QR code customers can scan for the full ingredients and allergens.

5

Print a different design for the same item

For example a shelf label with a price, or a nutrition panel.

  1. Choose it in Select Template

On the preview screen, open Select Template and pick the design. The preview changes straight away.

  2. Print

    Tap Quick Print or Print.
